The Drawing Room
A story that begins in Bangalore
Ranjani learned to sing the way heirlooms are passed down — at home, from her mother, a gold-medalist Carnatic classical vocalist. The training took: she has shared a stage with the legendary S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, performed within the walls of the Mysore Palace, and carries songs in eight languages — Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil closest to heart.
Today she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the same voice moves between recording studios, wedding stages, fashion sets, and living rooms full of students — a life built on the idea that craft is craft, whatever the medium.
संगीत विरासत है— music is inheritance
